NAHBS inspires Native high school students to further their education through our Native American Community Outreach Program. We provide presentations including how to apply for financial aid and choose a major, and other workshops such as public speaking. During our time in the Native community, NAHBS members also have the opportunity to learn about the history of the tribe and their culture. In addition, NAHBS has a College Day program in which Native high school students travel to Michigan State University to experience the campus first hand, while participating in workshops and admissions presentations. By continuing these programs, NAHBS hopes to increase Native attendance at higher education institutions.
